Honeymoons with a mix of beach and culture?

Maybe Cuba?

My husband and I are planning our belated honeymoon now and we're the same way (except he likes the beach, I want adventure) we looked in to Costa Rica, Belize (Belize is kind of unsafe though so we nixed that) Tulum, Mexico has Mayan ruins, jungle, and cenotes to explore, but we're probably going to go with st Lucia since it has jungle exploring and beach options.

We are going to Bali. Should have a nice mix of both.

Thailand.

Thailand, Portugal, Mexico, so many places!!!!

We just had our honeymoon in St. Lucia and stayed at Jade Mountain. We got to have plenty of beach time and pampering time at the spa, but made sure to go hiking, sailing, jungle biking, and spent several days exploring the fishing villages on the island. We got to go to fish markets and meet lots of local people, and it was INCREDIBLE. We are already plotting how to get back!

Cuba has the most beautiful beaches and you can take a cruise there now

Costa Rica was going to be my suggestion!

I'm in the same boat. He wants to do cave diving and ATV excursions and i want to drink cocktails on the beach and relax.. were considering Cancun because they have something for both of us

Barcelona, Spain was amazing! Great beaches and the culture is awesome

Costa Rica! We went last year and I fell in love with it. Wonderful country with a great mix of relaxation and adventure.

Thank you all for your suggestions. I am going to look more into thailand and bali which i havent thought of before. St lucia looks gorgeous but i heard its expensive, so i havent looked into it too much. Ive been to mexico several times and LOVE cancun, but i am hoping to go somewhere new for the honeymoon. Eventually i will probably take a cruise to cuba, but I do not want to cruise for the honeymoon, as we have been on two cruises already.

Barcelona would give you a good mix of city break culture and beach.

How about Greece? You can island hop as well as experience lots of history. Or somewhere in Eastern Europe like Croatia - very beautiful beaches with a lot of history and culture.

A million wonderful suggestions - I am partial to Southern Spain and it has a ton of fascinating and varied culture to explore as well as a beautiful coastline

I've been several times to Cancun and have loved the beaches, food, and culture. It is well situated to visit the Mayan Ruins of Tulum and Chichen Itza.

We're going to Bali and Thailand (Chiang Mai and possibly Koh Samui) because that's exactly what we wanted too. It's a LONG flight, but worth looking into
