What KIND of honeymooon in FL are you looking at?

We did Disney/Universal, because we are not beach people. It was really fun, as I hadn't been since I was 7 years old, and DH hadn't ever been.

There are just so many different types of honeymoons - theme parks, beach, city, camping...

We are going to be staying near St. Augustine, FL for our honeymoon in November. My FH is from Jacksonville so he will be showing me the area he grew up in before his Dad passed and then moved up here it NC. Otherwise we have been considering of doing parasailing again, the haunted lighthouse tour, going back to Marineland (maybe swim with the dolphins).

We stayed at Sirata in St Pete, they have an all inclusive package for drinks and food so you don't have to worry about carrying cash. Its right on the beach, and help you get set up with activities like jetskis, parasailing, tours, etc.

Florida is larger than a lot of European countries. It's HUGE. As other posters have said, you will have a completely different experience if you go to the theme parks compared to the Keys, compared to the Gulf Coast, compared to Miami.

What are you looking to do? There is something for everyone-it's a huge state with plenty to do. The beaches are gorgeous but completely different on the ocean side (East side) compared to the gulf. The Keys are almost like the Caribbean-they have that Island feel and sometimes you forget you're even in America (let alone Florida).

Also consider the time of year you're coming. Right now is probably not a time I would consider coming. Not only is it hurricane season and your plans may get ruined (mid august to mid september is peak hurricane season), but the weather is MISERABLY hot and humid in most of the state from July to September. In the winter it's much more bearable (when other states are freezing).
