Honeymoon

My fiancé and I are doing our honeymoon in Kenya with a quick stop in Zanzibar on the way home. Best of both worlds (animals and beach)! We are doing a six night eco-friendly safari. Happy to send a link if this sounds like your style!! Also even though it’s pricey we are doing a very quick stay at Giraffe Manor because I love giraffes and this is a bucket list item for me!

I've only been to South Africa but I adored it. I did half safari, half Cape Town, and both were amazing. The landscapes were gorgeous, the food was terrific, can't say enough good stuff about it.


I will say, you NEED to pay for guides if you want to go to a country with political instability or high crime. Do not try to go on a bargain honeymoon in any country with any State Department alert. Spend the money on a guide anytime you are traveling betwene the airport and resort, resort and sightseeing location, etc

I recently read this article on the insider about Bali. It said that there is so much waste and pollution in the ocean. The country even declared a national emergency because of it.


As far as Africa, I've heard great things about Lagos, Nigeria; Nairobi, Kenya, etc.
