Honeymoon

My FH and I are getting married September 12, 2020. We are trying to decide where to go for our honeymoon. We initially were gonna go on a cruise, with us getting married during Hurricane season we were gonna wait til November to go on our cruise. And then we were discussing Punta Cana or Hawaii. Now my FH wants to go to Dubai. I’m not up for the 14+ hour flight or really desire to go to Dubai. I know he wants to go but I want us both to be happy. Has anyone else been to Dubai or have any other honeymoon suggestions?

Are there any other reasons besides the long flight that you don’t want to go to Dubai? Dubai is definitely on my bucket list and I can’t wait to get there! Your honeymoon is a once-in-a-lifetime trip, so if you can afford it, I say go big! Cruises are fantastic (I’ve done 17 of them and have my 18th coming up in Sept for my bachelorette party.) but not nearly as special as a trip to the other side of the world.

Also, November is still technically hurricane season, so keep that in mind. As far as Punta Cana, bad stuff can and does happen everywhere, but with all of the horrible tourist news coming out of the Dominican Republic right now, I’d think twice before making that decision.
