You've got a ton of options in Colorado, there is so much to see! What are you looking for with your honeymoon? October is a weird month with weather. Sometimes it snows a lot and sometimes it doesn't snow until Halloween. If you are looking for a big city (big & nice hotels, lots of restaurants, spas & shopping), Denver is fun! We've stayed at the Brown Palace (old school hotel - great Sunday brunch & spa) and the Four Seasons (very nice), and we loved both of those. In Colorado Springs, the Broadmoor is a beautiful super fancy hotel with a ton to do in the area (USAF academy, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, etc.) and they have one of the two 5 star restaurants in Colorado. If you are looking more for a ski resort/mountain town vibe, I'd suggest Steamboat (they have 2 hot springs), Breckenridge, Winter Park, or Vail (more expensive & farther from the Denver airport). Southern Colorado is beautiful too and totally different than Northern Colorado. Telluride is a DREAM. It's more expensive but it's the most beautiful town, I swear it feels like a slice of Switzerland. There are always music festivals & things to do there too. The Sand Dunes are fun too, it's a national park & a super unique thing to see. Fort Collins & Boulder are college towns but both have a great downtown scene with a ton of restaurants & some good hotel options, while being close to things like hikes, shopping, etc. without the busy Denver population. I'd talk with your fiance about what you guys are hoping to do - more relaxing? A lot of eating? Shopping? Outdoor activities?

A word of caution.. hotsprings out in Colorado are often/mostly developed. Meaning, they are in buildings or have pool like patios. Check out Strawberry hot springs and if you're into adventure, in the southern part of the state is Conundrum hot springs (you need a permit to hike in, though)

If you're looking at the mountains, there are a lot of options for nice air BnB's that would be much more enjoyable (in my opinion) than staying at a resort in Vail or Breckenridge. You can find nice cabins right on creeks for the same or cheaper.
