Honeymoon

Jasmine, on September 9, 2020 at 1:39 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 6
Okay! So my fiancé and I live in Indiana and getting married in Colorado. We still want to do a tropical honeymoon and originally we planned to leave Colorado straight to our honeymoon. But now I’m thinking maybe we should do a week in a Colorado, come home for a while, and maybe 6 months later or even on our anniversary do a honeymoon?
Advice? I’m really not sure what to do.

I think that’s a great idea to do a honeymoon that’s larger later on

What would be the difference between going from Co versus waiting? If it’s cost, I’d say wait. But otherwise I see no reason to wait.

Part of its cost-the other part is being off work for two weeks(which goes back to money)

If money is the reason I would wait. Sandals resorts allows you to pay a deposit to lock in the rate and make payments until it's paid off. That's what we did, and we're getting married and honeymooning in Jamaica for 7 days.

A lot of great resorts offer payment plans maybe that's a way to help offset the immediate costs?

I'm in a similar boat. We are planning a European honeymoon, but we plan to leave 1-2 weeks after our wedding. This gives us time to destress and pack before we go on a big trip. We didn't want to do it several months later because it may not seem as special as newlyweds or we'd even keep putting it off and it might not ever happen. Planning a wedding is stressful enough, let alone planning a honeymoon!

I hope that helps and congratulations!
