Honeymoon Wardrobe? :)

Leesey B, on October 4, 2016 at 11:03 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 20

Hey all! The wedding is getting closer which means the honeymoon is, too! We are taking a cruise to the Cayman islands where we will swim with sting rays, and Mexico where we will stay at a beach club and go snorkeling and things like that Smiley smile I'm starting to look at what i have to pack, and so far I have picked out a few outfits!

-2 bathing suit cover ups

-2 summer maxi dresses

-1 nice dress for captain's dinner

-4 bathing suits (I just ordered two from VS)

-1 pair of white shorts

-1 Jean jacket

-2 flowy shirts

And last but not least, like a million sets of pajamas lololol. I'm just so excited Smiley smile

What are all you lovely brides doing for your honeymoon? What will you be packing?

Is it bad I'm already kinda hoarding honeymoon clothes since summer stuff is on clearance? Lol so far I just bought a white cover up, some sundresses, and sandals but I've been eyeing some clearance bathing suits and one of those big floppy hats I'll probably never wear lol

Haha I started hoarding like a year ago! Lolololol I'm so bad. I would tell FH "I need this!" But honestly, I'm planning to use all of it (hopefully I'll use it all after the honeymoon too lol)

Victoria's secret is discontinuing their swimwear (if what I heard is correct). All of their swim is on clearance. I just paid less than 50 for a suit that was originally over $100!

Love the Cayman Islands!!! I am a fellow cruiser and I practically live in maxi dresses and my swim suits when on vacation. So I think you're good on clothes for sure. You may want a dressier outfit for dinners because they are strict about the no casual clothes. Bring a water bottle for the both of you & a beach bag to carry everything in when you're off the ship.

@Kaitlyn K.- I have like a red one shoulder dress I was thinking of bringing. I heard I should bring water bottles, especially in Mexico lol. One guy I know even told me to be careful of the ice cubes! Smiley surprise

I just came back from my honeymoon, and had been hoarding some cute outfits and suits for a while haha. Glad I'm not the only one.

Just wanted to say we took a cruise a couple years ago and swam with the stingrays in the Cayman islands. It was a blast! Make sure you take a waterproof camera!

Ooooohhh!! Cruise to the Bahamas here! I bought 8 bathing suits pieces recently on clearance (Belk, ON and Target) for the sole purpose of being able to live in bathing suits on my honeymoon! Now to find the rest of it.....................

OP your wardrobe sounds similar to mine. We're doing a 7-day cruise with 4 stops the day after the wedding. All the summer stuff started going on sale here (MN) a couple of months ago so I've been able to get all my HM wardrobe and then some for dirt cheap! I also got some stuff back in February when summer stuff was REALLY cheap.

Don't forget to figure in footwear. I have a pair of athletic shoes, a couple of tennis shoes, and some sandals in a few colors.

ETA: I picked up some super cute shorts from Old Navy on clearance. I think I got 4 pairs, one of which is white. You may want to plan to pack another pair or two of neutral shorts.

Why are you bringing PJs on your honeymoon? The swimsuits and cover-ups, I get. Maybe just get a light robe. You're going to be on your honeymoon, you'll be having sex, all the time. You won't be wearing PJs.

If I didn't have a roaming 3 year old, I'd be naked all the time.

I sleep in shorts and a tshirt most nights, I bring a pair or two for lounging more than sleeping. Or in case I need to leave the room for snacks or just to get out of the room...but a million? no.

I brought one set of PJs, I hate sleeping naked. You're going to want more than 2 flowy shirts.

Obviously a million was an exaggeration. I'm bringing PJs because I want to and want to be comfy when i sleep

You'll be fine on the water. You don't need to actually bring water to Mexico.

And Beklynn thanks for the suggestion Smiley smile I'll probably bring a sweater in that case, especially cause it might be windy on the ship!
