Honeymoon spots

Summer, on April 11, 2019 at 6:33 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 12
I've been trying to find a honeymoon in the United states to go on and I was wondering if anybody had any better ideas than what I can come up with. I want the beach or some type of way to relax under the sun but we both enjoy attractions and walking around. He doesnt like big cities so nothing like New York. We are up for anything that has a beautiful scenery. We have only traveled to a few states so we dont know much about what's out there.

I visited my friend in Jacksonville Beach, FL (wouldn't necessarily call that a destination) in October. We went to St. Augustine for the day and that was cute! Also, FH and I visited my friend who lives in Clearwater, FL 2 years ago and drove to Casey Key and spent a few nights there and we really liked it there as well. There was less to do than St. Augustine though. There are a bunch of cities in the south you can visit that are on/near a beach.

We’re hitting Santa Fe, New Mexico. Very walkable place if you stay in the right area and a lot of great nature to check out. And the food, i’m So excited for the food! We found a place to stay for a few nights in the middle of no wear with a rustic hot tub. So secluded and quiet, I can't wait!

I live in St. Augustine so I always recommend coming here! The beach, the oldest city, so many attractions and places to eat. We have our own distillery with spirits made from ingredients from local farms, the winery, tours, horse drawn carriage rides. So many attractions as far as historic buildings, Flagler College has Tiffany stained glass windows. Live music everywhere, you can stay in town or on the beach and everything is so so close. Super fresh seafood and a relaxing little beach town. Ubering/taxi is affordable because everything is so close by.

As mentioned above its also close to other cool towns and the west coast/gulf of mexico. Honestly though, St. Augustine in gorgeous and America's little secret.

I second St. Augustine. I live in Jacksonville so we go down there pretty often since it's about 45 mins away. Theres always something to do, the history, the little shops, the beach. It's beautiful.

Hawaii? San Diego (good alternative to LA, not as big)? Texas? Florida?

We are doing New England/Canada cruise! The big draw is the colors since it will be fall and we also love history, but if other places are too pricey, I know even places like Virgina Beach are really nice, history, beach, and not budget killing !

Do you enjoy camping? What about staying in a national park? I am unsure about great beaches in the US because I love ARUBA! I love hiking and enjoying the stars and sights at the grand canyon or white sands or even Big Bend. May not be your style, but just a suggestionSmiley smile

We've been looking at St. Thomas, VI! You don't have to have a passport and it's warm all year. I agree with the other ladies on St. Augustine, it's a beautiful city and there's so much to do and see!
