Honeymoon shopping

Gen, on March 6, 2019 at 10:29 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 17
How much honeymoon shopping did/will you all do? I feel like every time I see a sundress I like now I’m using “oh I’ll wear it on the honeymoon!” as an excuse to buy it hahaha. Now I’ve moved onto bathing suit shopping and I actually do need new bathing suits, but I just had to stop myself from spending $250 on an impulsive online order 😂 Did anyone else feel the urge to stock up on new honeymoon attire? I feel like at this rate I will be wearing an entirely new wardrobe that week hahaha.

Me! OMG. It's a real problem, haha.

I did buy basically a whole new wardrobe for the week. Sundresses, rompers, jumpsuits. I'm also now on bathing suits. Found the cutest white one piece saying "wife of the party" and it's definitely going to be my next purchase.

I haven't bought anything for my attire yet. I will need to, but I'm hoping to lose a few lbs and have a weekend where I can run around and try some clothes on. I'll need a swimsuit as well, but ugh, I don't like to think about that. Kinda of trying to find out what we'll be doing on the honeymoon to see how dressy I need to be. I'm not a dress person - or fashiony - so it's not all that enjoyable to me.

HAHA that’s amazing. I bought FH and myself customized Mr and Mrs shirts after we got engaged but since we got engaged in the winter, they’re long sleeved shirts... so now I’m having to talk myself out of buying the same thing in tank-top form for the summer 😂

I already bought soo many dresses it’s unbelievable hahaha. And the funny thing is, when I do beach vacations, I usually just end up rotating the same few dresses since I basically just wear them for a few hours every day lol. But I’m like no, this is my NEW WIFE IMAGE I must have OPTIONS hahaha.

I told FH he has to approve every online shopping purchase I make for the next few months so hopefully he will force me to stay within reason :p

Not for our honeymoon just yet because we don't know where we're going but we're going on vacation this summer with my family and I've kept saying that to all the cute bathing suit covers i've seen in Marshall's or TjMaxx lol!

Me either, well besides a swimsuit that I needed for last week.
All we got for the honeymoon is our flights. We are staying with q friend on the east coast to save some money.

We're getting an AirBnB so we have some privacy and aren't stuck in a hotel room (I'm going to want a kitchen so I can make snacks and not eat out every single time). We haven't booked anything yet, so you're ahead of me!

I'm doing quite a bit, but only because I've been losing a lot of weight and improving my hair & skin health, so I feel a little cuter causing me to buy cuter clothes haha! We are going to Hawaii, and we live in Colorado, so naturally I don't have a ton of bathing suits or crop tops or anything. I'm probably spending around $300 between 3-4 bathing suits, 3-4 dresses, 2-3 crop tops, and a pair of shorts! I'm buying my fiance a few things too though Smiley smile

We figured it would be easier. Then getting a motel in NYC and DC for the two weeks. We will get a motel in NYC when we are there, but probably not a very expensive one due to us not really being in it.

YESSSSS. We are going to Greece so I've been buying all that is blue and white lately...and that seems to be the color the season. It's like the boutiques are reading my mind and posting this stuff for me to keep buying lol

Yeah I don't have too many nice warm weather things since we live in New Jersey and even though the summers are fairly hot, my office is always over air conditioned so I basically wear pants and sweaters all year round haha.

Usually I'd be one to buy stuff for my FH too but he's getting uncharacteristically excited about doing his own honeymoon clothes shopping lol. He is from LA originally so he said he misses wearing shorts and tank tops all the time and is excited for an excuse to buy them again :p

I really want to buy all new outfits for our honeymoon, to make it special and so my FH doesn't see me in the same 10 dresses I always wear on vacation. But we're paying for everything ourselves (the wedding) and I just can't justify new clothes when I already have stuff to wear. I may buy 1 or 2 new special outfits, but for the most part I'm trying to keep the honeymoon shopping to a minimum. And I have way more bathing suits than I need so I'm good there. Hoping not to need too much clothing anyway, haha! Our suite is huge with 2 jacuzzis and roof-top plunge pool and room service is supposed to be amazing. I think we'll end up spending most of our time in suite anyway.

Yes, I couldn't help myself but I spent around $200+ for honeymoon clothes. I probably need to reevaluate when I get them if I'm realistically going to wear the clothes again after the honeymoon, otherwise it's not worth it for me.
