Honeymoon November 2021

Renee, on May 16, 2021 at 6:24 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 4
My fiancé and I are getting married in November 2021 and we originally were planning on going to Japan for our honeymoon but it’s looking likely that we will not be able to do that considering COVID restrictions. We are looking to either travel somewhere in the states or maybe South America - depending on their COVID situation. Any recommendations? We are not really into beach resorts. Maybe for a day or two but wouldn’t want the trip to revolve around that. We like cities/ hiking/ exploring/ eating!

You could do a West Coast tour! Lots of hiking and foliage in Washington, plus city attractions in Seattle (restaurants, coffee shops, bars, the space needle) and whale watching. Then you could travel down the West Coast to California (beautiful driving scenery if you want to rent a car) where the temps are warm for Fall. There are tons of city attractions, laidback wine country, and lots of hiking and adventures. One of my favorites was zip-lining through the Redwood Forest!

You could also do a Colorado trip (Denver has an awesome food scene) or a tour through New England (Portland Maine is a personal fave!)

Do you want warmth? We are getting married November 12th and leaving for our honeymoon on November 14th and going to Florida. It's still fairly warm in Florida in November and there's tons of areas and places to choose from! If you want more of a fall feel, I'd recommend New Hampshire or Vermont. Not sure about South America though, never been!

Japan was going to be ours, as well. Now it will just be a vacation (hopefully) next summer. We opted for Washington state, visiting a couple cities, national parks, and a bit of just relaxing about. We are from Colorado and WA seems to have hiking, cities, food, and relaxation. But with that said, I agree with Lynnie's suggestion of Denver and the surrounding areas. Lots of good food in Denver and so many beautiful places within a few hours drive!

If you're looking for MORE adventure and you are leaning toward South America - I absolutely loved Belize. I spent time on the beach and in the jungle and a bit of time in neighboring Guatemala.
