Honeymoon - New Zealand, Fiji, & Australia/ or Iceland

We did our honeymoon to Fiji in 2019 at the end of January. We flew out of Denver and stayed a week. We loved it and would go back in a heartbeat.y suggestion would be to get off the main island and take the ferry or sea plane to one of the many smaller islands around. These islands will give you the perfect white beaches and usually they only have one hotel on the island. We stayed at paradise cove and it was the only hotel and had an adult only area. The food was amazing and the menu changed every 2 days which was cool. We also got snorkel gear for free while there and were able to go out whenever we wanted. They also included activities you could pay for in addition to a lot of free ones they have too. If you decide on Fiji, I would recommend staying on the main island for a night or two and go do the mud pools, they were super fun and made you skin feel so nice!

As an Australian, my take is that Australia is ideal if you want to see natural landscapes and a bit of urban cityscapes - we have a bit to see in our cities but it is along the coast and inland where you will really reap the beauty of Australia.

With that said, due to the size of the country, if you'd prefer to spend your honeymoon by the beach in full relaxation mode, you'd probably prefer Fiji because Australia is massive, and more expensive to travel around and do things than in Fiji.

New Zealand is smaller but also is known for its landscape such as the beautiful mountains and sounds.

If time permits, I'd recommend doing a little bit of Australia and then maybe considering something like a cruise to New Zealand or the South Pacific from Sydney.
