California, Florida Chicago, NYC, Colorado, Georgia, Boston. Go during the low season for flights and hotels.

How long are you trying to go and when are you planning on going? Me and my FH are going to Vegas! It was more affordable than we initially thought.

I'd say most of the US is doable on that if you use points for your flights (super easy with the sign on bonuses for airline credit cards) and don't need 5 star accommodations. As someone else said, even easier if you go at off peak times. For lodging, sign up for emails for promos from sites like hotels.com


To help narrow it down, think of the types of activities you'd want to do... beaches, hiking, city tours, etc.
