Honeymoon in the black hills!

Emly, on March 15, 2020 at 8:15 PM Posted in South Dakota Planning 0 4
So we LOVE and have a cabin neer the black hills (Sturgis, SD). After the wedding we plan to spend the week out there (riding from MN), while visiting the black hills frequentlywe haven't done/visited neer the amount of places weve wanted to. we want a few suggestions on other things to do there. If you live in the black hills what are you're suggestions?? Doesn't matter what state, we are just ready to go and ride and not care where we end up as long as we.have fun!

Hi! I used to live in the black hills! That is gonna be so much fun. I’d say check out keystone! There is a little pizza place called cruizzers that is delicious and it’s a fun ride up there.

I was born and raised in the Black Hills! If you haven’t already, the wildlife loop in Custer State Park is a lot of fun, along with all the different hiking trails around the Park. My favorite trail is Sunday Gulch, but you can’t go wrong with any of them. The Needles Highway is also really fun.

Oh my gosh there are so many fun things to do in the hills! When you say "riding", do you mean that you will be motorcycle riding? I can give you some pretty motorcycle roads, if so! Otherwise, cool things to do in general would be Custer State Park (Needles Highway and Wildlife Loop), Mt. Rushmore in Keystone, Deadwood, Badlands, and Spearfish Canyon. Those are some highlight spots!

If you are a bit more adventurous, there are some nice UTV/ATV rental places in Hill City with beautiful trails around. If you're into swimming/cliff jumping, Hippie Hole, Dakota Point, and Jenny Gulch are AMAZING. Some fun hikes are Cathedral Spires off of the Needles Highway in Custer, Buzzards Roost just a few miles outside of Rapid City, Stratobowl in between Rapid City and Keystone, and Harney/Black Elk Peak in Custer State Park if you like longer hikes.
I love playing tour guide, so let me know if you need any other ideas 😂

Also, totally did not see the date on this thread, so you may have already had your wedding and honeymoon 🙈
