Honeymoon Ideas??

My fiancé and I have started talking about where we want to go for our honeymoon, but we honestly just don’t know! We do know that we want to go overseas, but not on a cruise or anything like that. We thought about somewhere in Italy, maybe France, or even Spain! I want somewhere that you can spend half of your time cuddled up in the room, relaxing, and just enjoying the start of a beautiful marriage, but can spend the other half out exploring, experiencing new things and different cultures, just making new memories together! Does anyone have any tips, ideas, or advice? It would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

I know you mentioned you don't want a cruise, but I saw Virgin Voyages (same co. as Virgin America) has a sexy trip to all the countries you listed: French Riviera, Ibiza, Barcelona, Rome. Its adults-only and you can explore when you want. I think it's Honeymoon- worthy. I just booked Greek island hopping after my friend's summer wedding. It will be my first cruise and I just don't want to plan another vacation from scratch, or leave the husband to do it.
Another option is to plan lodgings, hotels, transport separately. LonelyPlanet travel books can get you started (library). RyanAir has low-cost fares around Europe. One tip, skip Europe in August as everything is closed. Best wishes!

Oh wow, I mean that honestly doesn’t sound too bad at all! I’ll definitely have to look into that and check it out! Especially considering it’s adult-only, that makes it even more personal I feel! And thanks for that tip, that’s good to know for sure!!

It sounds like you have similar interests to my FH and I, in that we wanted somewhere we could relax and get gorgeous views but also spend time learning, sightseeing, and eating lol. We decided to do a combo of three spots since, like PP said, Europe is inexpensive to get around once you’re there and picked a spot he has been dying to go (Paris), a place I’ve been dying to go (Santorini), and a spot I randomly saw in a travel article right when we started brainstorming (Ischia Island). So you could have fun with both of you picking a spot or two within the same region.
