I guess it depends on what you want to do. I live in florida so I have been to lots of places, but never really stayed at hotels. They Keys is awesome and lots of fun! Great if you don't want to be over whelmed by where to go, there is basically one road. Miami is pricey but can be nice. Daytona is nice too. Check out florida travel sites. I am not sure if you want to sit at the beach or go to theme parks or what your budget is so its hard to offer suggestions.

If you want a lovely old florida resort town try Flagler Beach Check us out on www.visitflagler.com. We are halfway between St. Augustine where you can take a horsedrawn carriage ride to a romantic restaurant (I recommend Harry's) and Daytona Beach where you can enjoy the activity and fun of a bustiling resort city. Flagler Beach itself is a quiet town where you just might have much of the beach to yourself. We have a couple of very romantic B&Bs, the White Orchid Inn comes to mind. We also have fine dining (Blue), shopping and water on both sides of the island. I love living here and we love honeymooners.

I am originally from St. Augustine, Florida. That's my hometown. I love St. George Street and the Old Fort Matanzas. It is the oldest city in the U.S. You can stay at the Casa Monica but there are some extremely adorable Bed and Breakfast places along the beaches. Check them out! I would also say Daytona Beach is great to go and is great for those looking for outdoor sports suchs as riding four wheelers on the beach, parasailing, dune buggying, and more.

If you want something beautiful in Florida, try Amelia Island Plantation. So much to do, the island itself is gorgeous and it's only a 45 easy drive from the Jacksonville Airport. We're honeymooning in Disney World in Orlando. A lot of Brides choose Disneymoons. Sanibel/Captiva Island are also beautiful spots. West Palm Beach (Jupiter Beach Resort), or Palm Beach are also Beautiful locations too and Worth Avenue is like Los Angeles' Rodeo Drive. South Beach is also a great place to go. Hope some of these helped you out.

Lots of nice places in Florida.

1. Sanibel Island - lovely, secluded, (Casa Ybel). Photographed a wedding there

2. Amelia Island - northeast part of the state. Beautiful. Stayed at the Amelia Island Plantation. Will be chilly in fall and early spring

3. Sarasota - have been vacationing there for years. Lovely beaches, not too much nightlife. You can rent a condo on the beach.

4. Disney of course!

Sanibel/captiva island.

On captiva look up south seas (plantation?). South seas/captiva will pop up with ANY goog;e search. My finace parents have a condo on captiva. lots of little places. SMALL island. intimate and "island time". no hissle and bustle. South seas has everything from resaurants to jet skis to tennis, to parasailing....you can go off the island to the bigger island Sanibel. Then you are close to Ft Myers as well.

If you're looking for a great beach, check out Destin/ Sandestin (NW Florida; near Panama City). I am honeymooning there because I love it there. The beach is beautiful, great food, relaxation, etc... Check it out!!!

You can try the Hilton Hotel~Longboat Key. It's beautiful. Located right on the beach. Also try the Don Cesar on St. Pete Beach.

I have lived in Florida all my life and my favorite beaches are near Sarasota....Longboat Key and Lido Key.

I second a lot of the responses here already. Sanibel is lovely, as are the Keys. You might want to look into Naples as well. Take a look at South Beach or even a bit north. The Ritz is a bit north of South Beach but a great beachfront hotel and you are close enough to the night life as well.

I love Florida used to live there , Cant remember the name of the hotel but it is on Se'esta key.It is in the Keys and it wasnt priced to bad , very romantic, quiet, right on the beach, lots of stuff to do all around the drive isnt bad to any key once you are there. More bang for your buck Stay on one key visit the others.

I would definitely recommend the west coast (Clearwater/St Pete area). The water is much more calm than the east coast and the hotels are to die for! My favorite hotel to stay at is the Island Inn at Treasure Island. They have really great deals on weekend stays or however you want to group up your days. They have amazing suits that sit right over the beach. It really is beautiful! We've been going there at least once a year for a long time now. Here's the website if you want to check it out! BTW: My personal preference is St George Island. Probably expensive that time of year (We go in Feb/Mar when it is dirt cheap) but lots of historial and fun things to do if you are not a city person.
