My wedding was in late February but I imagine you could easily do something similar in October. The weather was all over the place for us (from low of 30°F to high of 75°F). We had a BLAST going to a Bed & Breakfast for a few days. We went around to some nearby breweries, restaurants, antique stores, and an art museum. We also took a small hike one day. The innkeepers were wonderful and provided a tray of coffee/tea when we woke up as well as a 3 course homemade breakfast. We had a double jacuzzi tub in our room and enjoyed soaking in it together while enjoying some cheese, a charcuterie board, and drinks.

We only travel in October: beautiful weather, less crowds, not as expensive (Hawaii, Mexico, Europe, East Coast). Are you thinking somewhere in US or abroad? We live in CA which also has gorgeous weather in Oct (SF, Napa, Lake Tahoe)...

I never thought about doing a bed and breakfast. That would be a cute idea and a nice getaway.

New England is supposed to be beautiful in the fall! You could take a train through so you could see the leaves.

October is a GREAT time to travel! It's shoulder season for most resorts/ vacation spots since school is in session and it's not quite the holiday season yet, and the weather in October tends to be right in the sweet spot of not sweltering hot but still not cold enough to make you miserable. If you're looking for something beach-y, FL would be a good spot since it's warmer. I think Napa would also be a great area to check out if you guys are wine people. Major cities like NYC, Boston, etc. would also have a ton to do.

We are honeymooning late September. We have not chosen a destination yet, but we want to be in a secluded cabin somewhere in the mountains. There are so many mountain areas in the US that are filled with surprisingly fun activities (i.e. Pigeon Forge) in one large area of the mountains. In the surrounding areas, you can expect to find hundreds of cabins, ranging from low-end to huge beautiful cabins, with varying degrees of seclusion. We just really like the idea of being totally alone, including being outside rather than a hotel where you always feel like there are people all around you (because they are). Cabins just feel really cozy and intimate.

Obviously this isn't for everyone, but if you're like us where we want to spend most of the time cuddled up together just hanging out alone, and you like the types of activities offered in that area, it's perfect. It is also perfect if you want to do a lot. They have a lot of family-type entertainment that is still fun for honeymooners such as alpine roller coasters and other rides, dinner shows, golf /mini golf, ropes courses, room escape, small zoos, horse back riding, etc. They also have adult activities like spas and various alcohol tasting places.

We’re going to Belize to get the best of both worlds (in our opinion!). Relaxing beach vacation with some excursions..and there are so many options! Jungle exploration or zip lining , exploring Mayan ruins, boating and snorkeling/scuba diving, and the Great Barrier Reef! Plus a lot of culture/history. Also honestly the prices were surprisingly very reasonable. They have resorts or more simple options. Just thought I’d throw it out there. Best of luck! I’m sure whatever you choose will be amazing. wordle unlimited Smiley smile
