Honeymoon Hotel Recommendations--kauai, Hawaii

Jacqueline , on May 22, 2018 at 1:54 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 7

Hello,

My fiancee and I were looking at island options in Hawaii for our honeymoon, and love the idea of going to Kauai, Hawaii. Its beautiful, lots of greenery and activities to do. We haven't been able to choose where to stay however. We emailed 2 travel agents and they gave us hotels but didn't really give us any inclusive honeymoon packages. Not sure if thats even a thing? I tries to do my own research but not a lot of websites have a honeymoon suite option so I'm confused. Is it cheaper booking on my own than using a travel agent? We are on a budget so we can't go super pricey but we want to at least be able to experience something nice for a reasonable price. Any tips on must sees?

Thank you for any tips and advice in advance Smiley smile

Hawaii?!! Thats going to be so nice!! I wish you the best with finding the right package!

I think that you could possibly get a good deal booking on your own, but things will
be much easier with a travel agent.

I dont know too much about the all inclusive packages. I was lookig for some once upon a time but didnt have any luck. However, Ive been told that you should ask the locals about nice things to do once you arrive. A friend of mine lived in Hawaii for about 10 years and said quite a few taxi drivers would be willing to take you around to the really nice areas (which sometimes you wont get in any package) for a small fee. Honestly, you really cant go wrong with any of the islands.

There aren’t any all inclusive hotels in Hawaii. Unless you’re just talking about bundling aifare/hotel.

In Hawaii all you get is a room. Suites are $$$$ a night. No hotels offer beverages or food in their package. Maybe breakfast in the rate. Breakfast is about $30-50pp in Hawaii at a nice resort with a buffet. Hawaii is not a budget place.

it sounds like you are looking for the Caribbean treatement in the US, but you won't find that. If you want all inclusive and lots of honeymoon perks you need to go to the Caribbean/Mexico. And it will likely be cheaper than Hawaii depending on which coast you live on. We are doing two weeks in Hawaii in July from the east coast and it is $$$$$.

You should check out air bnb or Vrbo unless you are dying To have a hotel! Hawaii doesn’t do all inclusive. We’re staying at Hanalei Bay resort on the north shore in July. Check out trip advisor too to get advice from the locals.

We’re also going to Hawaii, it’s definitely not budget I can’t believe how expensive everything is. I always prefer to book things on my own instead of using a travel agent but it just depends how comfortable you are with that we are staying at the Sheraton in Kauai and id say it was mid range price, I saw cheaper options and pricier options and decided to stay in the middle. No honeymoon suite though because suites are ridiculously priced. Somethings I want to do in Kauai are some kind of catamaran or dinner cruise of the famous Na Pali coast, the queens bath and some other hiking trails. Good luck planning!

I would check Costco for deals to Hawaii. We are doing Hawaii next July for our honeymoon, and plan on staying on 2 islands. I think we are going to look into hotels for half the time, then a VRBO home rental for the rest. They seem cheaper and would have laundry and a kitchen.

We are going to Maui for ours and ended up booking a beautiful studio right on the water through Homeaway. It has laundry and a kitchen. The total for a week, airfare and a jeep rental was way cheaper than a quote we got from a travel agent. I would definitely recommend at least taking a look at one of those sites.
