Honeymoon help.... Colorado or Mount Tremblant?

Jackie, on July 1, 2019 at 10:01 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 4

Hello everyone! My Fiance and I are getting married in Vermont 12/8/2019 and are really struggling to nail down a honeymoon plan. My future husband is not really keen on tropical vacations (sigh) so I think doing a winter honeymoon is something that both of us would like. Struggling with what would be more fun for a couple who likes the outdoors, skiing, snowmobiling, etc. ..... Tremblant right after our wedding or somewhere out in Colorado in March (no idea where would be good for intermediate skiiers)? Not sure if one or the other is going to be more costly.... we are trying to make sure we do something but also not spend a ridiculous amount on our honeymoon... any input, personal advice, or suggestions are appreciated!!

I would try to price both our because I’m not sure of costs. Keep in mind March is usually the snowiest month in Colorado which can cause travel issues. Also, typically spring break falls in March so all resorts will be pretty packed all month with travelers and locals. We live in CO and our favorite place is Breckenridge, which is where we’re getting married next year. You can’t really go wrong picking a place off the I-70 corridor and it makes travel from Denver convenient by shuttle or rental (if you choose, though I would recommend taking a shuttle). We’ve gone to Steamboat too, which is beautiful just a much longer drive for us. If you have an questions or want any specifics feel free to ask. Happy planning!

Definitely price both to see if they're close in price or if one is going to be significantly cheaper but past that I'd vote Mont Tremblant. I went skiing there with my family some years ago and it was super fun!

We live in Longmont, 45 minutes north of Denver. I think intermediate skiers would have a great time in Steamboat or Breckenridge or Winter Park (those are the only 3 I've been to so I can only speak on those). I'm a beginner and still had a good time. My fiance went to Eldora, and it was SUPER icey and not fun (he said). I'm a Steamboat fan because of the hot springs, it's romantic & just a really cute town. We've done other fun things there too like tubing, a tour of a bison ranch, etc.
