Honeymoon help! Business vs Economy

Megan, on May 28, 2019 at 12:12 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 5
We finally decided on Moorea for our honeymoon destination in October and are so excited!! We had always planned to fly business class but when we saw the price difference (4-5k per ticket!) we are reconsidering. Has anyone done this flight and can offer perspective on what you chose and if you would have done it differently in hindsight? We would fly NY to LA to Pape’ete. Thanks so much!!

Could you potentially do one way business... or have your LA to final destination be business?
We upgraded our flights from ny to rome since they were non stop and wanted to splurge but they were only like a 2k difference.

We're looking at doing Economy for domestic, and probably Economy Plus for the international. Waiting to hear on the exact options from the travel agent.

If you can afford, business on such long flights is of course much better because you’ll actually be able to sleep, be comfortable & arrive ready to go.
If you can’t afford business, premium economy is a great option too, for much less! You could also do business or premium economy just from LA.

I personally would choose economy for the roundtrip so I could save that money for when you're at your honeymoon location Smiley smile

Do they have a premium economy option? We wanted to fly business class for our honeymoon too (going LA to Singapore and then only a two hour flight to Thailand from there, so only on the long leg) but it was crazy expensive. But they have premium economy which is right in the middle and you still get some extra space and a footrest but it's much more affordable. We're just flying economy for the two hour flights.
