I’m assuming 2025? 🙂 I think it largely depends on personal preference, but the reason we decided on Caribbean was so we didn’t have to pay so much to fly out there and then have jet lag. Caribbean is much less (both expense and timing) than a Med cruise, so it’s the better option if you need to save a bit. We’re still going to do a Med cruise sometime, but when we can budget for that alone!

It is definitely a personal choice. If you want to do the Honeymoon RIGHT after the wedding, I would opt for a Caribbean cruise - much easier to attain and less stress (flying, customs, foreign languages & currency, etc) Trust me, after the wedding you WILL be exhausted. If you are waiting a week, then a Med cruise would be easier on you. We went to Disney for a mini-moon, and then a month later took the Mediterranean cruise of our dreams.

This past July, I traveled with Virgin Voyages on an all-adult cruise through Greece and Turkey. It was outstanding! We plan to book with them again for another Mediterranean route or a shorter Caribbean cruise.

Congrats on your upcoming wedding! That's an exciting time. For a honeymoon, I think both a Mediterranean or Caribbean cruise could be lovely - tough choice! A few things to consider:

What's your travel style? Do you prefer history/culture or beaches/relaxing?

Check cruise itineraries/destinations - which ports of call appeal most?

Factors like cost, travel time, activities offered might sway you.

Get reviews on cruise lines for quality of experience.

No matter what you choose, focusing on making memories with your new spouse is what really matters. You're sure to have a wonderful honeymoon!
