Honeymoon Booked in Vegas!!

Sarah, on October 27, 2019 at 10:32 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 5
We had never considered a Vegas honeymoon until a friend of ours offered to send us there free of stay for our honeymoon! After some thought, we decided to go for it! My FH hasn’t been since he was underage and I have never been. We will be staying in a timeshare and we are super excited! We are going 6/30-7/7. We already plan to get a car and go to the Grand Canyon, the Hoover damn and take a trip out to red rock canyon. We also have zip-lining over the strip, cirque du soleil, and some other shows on our list. Anyone else done a Vegas honeymoon? Any other recommendations or must-sees?

We are getting married in Vegas and staying after for a week. We are renting a car and driving to the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon, going on a dune buggy ride, Cirque du Soleil Love (the Beatles) and more. I love Vegas but FH has never been.

I live in Vegas and there's definitely some other things you can do. Not all as adventurous but still nice.

    1. Gondola Ride in the Venetian Canal
    2. The Void (if you're into virtual reality - fully submersive room you can walk through!!)
    3. The Eiffel Tower Restaurant
    4. The High Roller (they also have an open bar option)
    5. Hot air balloon
    6. Valley of Fire
    7. Neon Museum
    8. Helicopter ride
    9. The Mob Museum
    10. Fremont (if that's not where your zipline is)
    11. Tournament of Kings Dinner and Show
    12. Madame Tussauds Wax Museum
    13. Horseback riding
    14. Foodie Tour
    15. Skydiving
    16. Bungee Jump (I know they have one from off the stratosphere)
    17. Escape Room
    18. Ace Monkeys
    19. Shooting Range
    20.
Supercar Racing Experience at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

I'll leave it at that lol. Hope that helps!!

My fiancé & I have actually done the Vegas/Grand Canyon drive, beautiful & super easy! You’ll love it!

*I would recommend the Egg & I for breakfast! It’s about a 10 min drive from the strip.

*make sure y’all get a spot to watch the Bellagio hotel fountain show ( it’s free, just catch it every 15 mins outside)

*Try some casinos outside of the strip (might have better luck winning $&dollarSmiley winking

*Vegas is so huge that there’s so much to do. Try Yelp & Trip Advisor to help you plan your honeymoon! Good luck!!

Not our honeymoon, but FH and I went almost 2 years ago for my 50th birthday. Like you, FH hadn't been there in many many years, and I had never been. We had such a blast!! In fact, we are still talking about taking another trip there, because we had so much fun!

We wanted to do the zip-lining, but ran out of time, as our trip was only a few days. But we'll do that next time. In fact, that's over in the Fremont Street area of Vegas (away from the strip). I don't know what kind of trip you have planned, but I would plan to devote at least one whole day to that area of Vegas, as it's big, and takes time to see/do everything. We only had one day there, and it wasn't enough to see everything we wanted to see. So, next trip, we'll devote at least a couple of days to Fremont Street. Cirque du Soleil is another thing on our list for next time.

We did see one of the Michael Jackson shows, as we are huge fans of his music. It wasn't MJ Live, it was the other one, which I can't remember the name of right now. But it was fantastic!!!! You won't be disappointed.

We also did the High Roller, which is that gigantic ferris wheel type of ride. If you are afraid of heights, it might not be for you. But if not, it's the best view of Vegas you'll ever see!! So awesome to be up that high! We also enjoyed Madame Toussaud's Wax Museum. Those are really real looking! And you can walk right up to the figures and take pictures, etc.

Went into as many of the hotels as we could, just to gawk and people watch--that was really fun. But there are so many restaurants and things to do. Have a great time!!!
