Honeymoon Backup Plan????

Abby, on March 18, 2020 at 4:54 PM Posted in Honeymoon 1 8

We booked our honeymoon cruise to Alaska months ago, but with all of the travel bans and concerns about cruises, I'm afraid we will have to cancel or rethink our honeymoon. Does anyone have any suggestions for a simple but fun honeymoon that we could do here in the states? Thanks, everyone, stay strong beauties!

We're going to go down and see the redwoods and spend some nice quiet time in a little rental house, close to the beach. But that's a little closer to us, since we're in Oregon. Is there a specific area you guys are thinking (East/West/North/South). And would you prefer to be near more outdoors-y stuff, or are you guys thinking of finding a fun hot spot where there's tons to do? It's all personal preference Smiley smile

It does matter when it's scheduled. If it's for later this year, you might be ok, but if it's for May or June, I'd be a little concerned.

You may simply have to have a "staymoon" until we have a clearer idea of how this is going to play out.

That said, there's so much to do, here, from Disney to national parks. What do you like to do?

I would wait a little and see what happens. You can always contact the cruise line now and see what their rescheduling policy is because of this. Mine leaves June 8th and I’m holding out a little bit before doing anything.

We like to be outdoors, and we are originally from East Tennessee with the Great Smokey Mountains as our backyard. However, Disney would also be super fun! My fiance is a little skeptical about Disney because he thinks it's too kid-friendly, but I'd love some ideas to show him it can be for adults as well.

Have him check out the Disney Springs website. That's the more Adult area of Disney. https://www.disneysprings.com/

There are also more adult restaurants and activities in Disney itself. For example, Victoria and Albert's, while expensive, is adults only and would be a wonder honeymoon experience!
