Help with Name Change??

I just got married and would like to change my name but since covid has happened, things seem so confusing. Apparently the local SSA office is closed due to the virus, so I have to mail in my application instead. That’s fine, but where I get confused is my documents I’m supposed to provide to prove my identity. Their website makes it sound like I need to send in my actual driver’s license. I don’t have a passport or school ID, etc., but obviously I cannot be without my license for however long it will take them to process the name change since I have to drive. A girlfriend of mine sent in just a photocopy of her license, but her application hasn’t been accepted yet since she just got married. Another insists that I need to send the actual license with my application. Please help!
