You can try real vanilla extract (with the alcohol) I read about that and it seems to dry it out.

Oh no! Are you looking to wear something to cover your entire face or just your mouth? Maybe see what kind of home remedies there are to decrease it and use makeup to disguise it.

Are you taking/applying meds to make it stop? That is paramount. I use tea tree oil if I even feel one starting to come on. (I recently fully oiled up whar turned out to be a pimple.)
Do you have a MUA? Call her. Let her know what's going on.
Who has concealer suggestions?! I can't even think how crazy-panicky this moment is.

Oh boo. I missed you already had that, I am surprised its not working. Can you pop into the Dr. and see if they can prescribe something stronger?

When I get cold sores I ice it clean it with hydrogen peroxide and then dab tea tree oil!! Abreva doesnt ever work for me. I do this constantly through the day. Hope it helps!

I’m a pharmacist and the only thing that may give you some relief quickly is abreva. Be consistent with application, ice it 10 mins on and then 10 off to help with the redness. Try to use your foundation and some powder to matte it out for your wedding day. And remember to smile!!! It’s your wedding! You’re going to look beautiful!

Yes! Always listen to pharmacists! (I've used Abreva once with good results but I *always* have tea tree oil in the house and if it works well for me as well. Especially if I start before it's opened up.)

Abreva works well and get a lysine supplement. Icing it as often as you can and not picking at it is crucial. Makeup should be able to cover it.

Put real vanilla extract on a cotton ball and hold it there for a min or so, that will kill the bacteria from spreading. Do not touch it with you figures AT ALL, EVER! When ever you put something on it use a q-tip. Go buy lemon balm, brew it in warm water and soak cotton balls in after it has brewed a bit. Hold the cotton balls on there for a min or so as often as you possibly can. Keep putting the medicine on as often as possible.

I get them alllllll the time!! Try putting camphophenique on it! That is what I use and it dries it up quick and you can cover it up with makeup. I used to get them when I stressed like at prom, engagement pictures, tests, etc.

I was just going to say get camphophenique to. That it what I use. It will dry it out faster so that it will stop spreading. Abreva is alright but nothing like this stuff.

Valtrex is a prescription drug but if you can get in and get some, my advice (and i have done this only when necessary) take 2 right away, then 2 more in about 6 hours. I can't say for sure that it will take care of it as much as you want, but it's the only thing that works for me. If you can't get to a doctor, use rubbing alcohol to dry it up quicker.

I believe they make cold sore cover ups too. I have seen them (a while back) in the cold sore medication area. I can't remember if they have medicine on them or you put over your stuff but they are suppose to protect and smooth out the area so you can put make up on over the sore.

I get them really bad once a year (weird right?) and I use the stuff that literally freezes it off. It gets so much smaller after I use it.
DO NOT TOUCH IT! It can spread that way, and then you’ll have to go to the doctor!

There are some covers for it that are matte. I think in CVS they might carry them. They're small and circular and you can apply makeup on it as well. I had to use it once before. Good luck. And congratulations
