Help Me Choose Colors!

Amber, on December 9, 2019 at 3:39 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 18

The next thing on my wedding to-do list is purchasing Pashmina Scarves for myself and my bridal party and I'm having a hard time deciding what colors to order. My bridesmaids will be in the color "wine" from David's Bridal and my dress is diamond white. Our wedding colors are wine, navy, and rose gold and the groomsmen will be in navy suits with wine colored ties. FH will be in a light grey suit with a navy tie.

Currently considering navy, light/medium gray, or pale pink for my bridesmaids and maybe burgundy, navy, or light grey for myself. Open to all suggestions! What colors would you choose?

Here's the link to the listing on Etsy in case anyone else is interested in these Smiley smile

I would say out of the options either the light grey-blue or the pale pink is the nicest.

Navy seems like the best choice for the bridesmaids and pink for you

I think the medium gray or light gray for your bridesmaids. I think the navy for you. I prefer darker colors myself, so I'm not the biggest fan of the pale pink.

I actually like the idea of pale pink (seems somewhat close to rose gold? but hard to tell) or light grey for the bridesmaids and navy for you.

I did not clarify but I was referring to the Bridesmaids. I think burgundy and light pink for you could be very lovely. I think burgundy is a very nice color for clothing.

I would go with pale pink for the bridesmaids. The grey might come off as more silver whereas the pale pink looks like rose gold.

As for yourself, you just need to decide if you want a pop of color or something closer to your dress color!

I also agree with pale pink for the bridesmaids to play off the rose gold colors. Navy or gray for you, maybe whichever gray you think would match FHs suit color.

Navy or pale pink for the bridesmaids. There is So Much variation between wine and burgundy and from shop to shop. I would not even mess with trying to match the pashmina to the bridesmaid dress, I do not have the patience to get that exactly right.

Is there a reason you want one too? Is it just for photos or for during the ceremony? I’m not sure what your dress looks like, but we love our dresses so so much, why cover it up with a pashmina?

Navy for bridesmaids and pale pink for you.

I agree with someone above - I’d worry about the burgundy clashing with the wine dresses.

I think I'm going to go with a pop of color for mine, I'm worried that the ivory color they offer would clash with my diamond white dress. Leaning towards navy! Smiley smile

Completely agree with you on the variation between burgundy/wine shades! I considered getting the burgundy for myself (not the bridesmaids), but I've definitely decided against it since I'll be next to my bridesmaids in photos and I'm sure the colors will be different.

We're having a February wedding and while I'm hoping the weather will be relatively comfortable, I just want to be prepared if it's a little chilly. I would only wear it for pictures if it's super cold, otherwise I'd just tough it out lol. I definitely love my dress, but spaghetti straps will not do me any favors in keeping me warm Smiley xd
