Help! Looking for Budget Friendly Wedding Venues

Lavanya, on April 16, 2024 at 5:55 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 3

Hi!

I am looking for wedding venues that are pet friendly and will not cost me a leg and an arm. My budget is currently $5000 for my entire wedding. I am not looking for a fancy place with all the bells and whistles, but some place that can accommodate about 50 or so guests and preferably is outside. I am open to in house catering, but like I said, I am trying to stay within my budget.

Any vendor reccs. for photography are also welcome.

Thanks in advance!

I would post this on your local board, it can be found under the forums tab. This is an international board, and we don't know where you're talking about. Good luck!

I think the closest to that budget we've seen here recently is a couple who were able to use a section of someone's land and then setup chairs near a tree and altar. They may have only had simple desserts afterwards.

Adding the pet-friendly goal would make your task all the more difficult since restaurants and community centers would not generally permit that. The photographer would probably be a college photography student who is good at general principles but not experienced in wedding photography.

Otherwise, if you don't need pets allowed, you might find a coffee shop or restaurant for a sunday or weekday that maybe could have simple desserts, appetizers and coffee. Maybe a Christian church could considered since they could have an officiant and a venue in one package.

Take a look at venues owned by the local parks department. Those are the most economical. They have indoor facilities plus outdoor space, and tables, chairs and kitchen are provided. That allows you to go with lower budget vendors of your choice that don’t have expensive restrictions. And you have freedom to choose what elements you want to keep and cut which other venues do not allow for.
