Help!! Does anyone know of a cheap or free Honeymoon Registry website??

*rLl*, on April 19, 2011 at 1:23 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 12

I am trying to find a honeymoon registry website that does not charge the people giving the money or me. A lot of the sites take 7.5%-10% of your total collection. If anyone knows of any honeymoon registry sites that I can compare please please please let me know!! thank you!

Yes, I used it for my wedding. It was great! It more than paid for our entire trip. Guests make payments through paypal (paypal takes a 3% fee) and the money goes directly into your bank account. It's very convenient. They even make a thank you note list for you with the guest's name, amount, and what it was for. I'd recommend it to anyone.

I actually chose honeyfund also...based entirely on Analy's constant praises, and we have been very pleased so far!

We are using a "wish" registry- that works very similar to the above but also lets us add some more traditional items for our house on it- so far, we are rearlly loving it!

I would check it out- www.uponourstar.com - HTH!

We're really enjoying www.depositagift.com i'm not a huge fan of honeyfund with the ads on the site and the need for IOUs or paypal. i know it works well for some, but we just preferred a site that took credit cards and had a phone number. the customer service is amazing and we're getting really good feedback on the quality of the site!

We are using www.uponourstar.com and it seems pretty reasonable- we looked at some of the others mentioned above and I would say they all work pretty similar.

We like the fact that we can add more than just "honeymoon" items though- for us that was key.

I am using honeyfund. You don't have to have a paypal account to use it, they process their credit transactions through paypal, which is very safe method of payment.

We're using Wanderable, and we love it! The site charges a 2.5% credit card processing fee (all credit cards are processed directly through the site instead of through Paypal), and a 2.5% service fee - all together, 5%.

We like it better than Honeyfund since it can be so customized - our guests are excited to give us specific experiences, rather than chipping in with a generic gift.

We've been usingwww.flyustothemoon.co.uk since it's totally free and no annoying ads or service fees.

It also allows you to use PayPal to receive money as well as cash on the day. Really easy to setup as well. Worth checking out.

The original poster probably doesn't need the answer anymore. But for others with the same dilemma, I wanted to share about Envelope Registry which we're using.

The site is totally free to use for the wedding couple. Guests do have to pay 3% of the total amount they're gifting and 3% credit card fees. But this is quite minimal compared to most other sites.
