Hi Everyone! I ordered a Hayley Paige wedding dress (the Charm Gown) back in August so it should be coming in very soon! I'd love to see some of your wedding dresses, especially if you are wearing/wore a Hayley Paige gown...share some pictures here!

I didn't get many pictures in my dress when I was trying on, so I will have to take more when it comes in. I added a layer of sparkly tulle to the bottom so it picks up all the sparkles on the bodice. They are also using the same sparkly tulle to make a matching veil. Plus the sleeves are detachable!Hayley Paige Wedding Dresses 1

This dress is SO beautiful! I love the sleeves! Do you think you'll keep them on?

What do you love about it?

Jackie, I have the same dress as you! I also ordered mine in August, so I'm expecting it to come in sometime soon. I ordered a yard of the sparkle tulle so that I could have off the shoulder sleeves made out of it in alterations (I do love the ones that come with the gown, but I think I might like the look of the sleeves made out of tulle instead). May I ask how the sparkle tulle will be added to the bottom half of your gown? That sounds like an awesome idea! Is that going to be done in alterations, or are you having that added when the dress is being made?
I'd love to see pictures of your gown once it comes in!

You're the first dress twin I've found!! I ordered mine during a Hayley Paige trunk show, so the salon included either a free modification to a gown or 10% off...I chose to add the sparkly tulle since it was a better deal. They are adding it in production so it will come in with the tulle already added to the skirt. It is going directly under the first layer! I will definitely post an update when I have my first fitting! I loveee the idea of using the sparkly tulle for sleeves instead...that is going to look so beautiful and elegant! Please share pictures of yours as well!!

Thank you much! I love the sleeves so I think I'll keep them on the whole time...I'm a sucker for off the shoulder looks!

I haven't found a dress twin before you either! That was a great idea to add that modification during a trunk show! I might try to see if I can have that done for mine as well since I love the sparkle tulle (I was torn between her other gowns with sparkle tulle on the bottom, but I really wanted a tiered skirt and couldn't find a gown that had sparkle tulle AND tiers). Also! I found out that one yard of sparkle tulle only costs $20. So you can always order more if you want to make sleeves out of it, too!
By the way, is your veil being made by Hayley Paige as well, or are you having that made by a tailor? I was considering buying a few yards of sparkle tulle (I mean at $20/yard, why not?) and having someone make me a veil with that.

I was torn between Divine and Haruki. I ended up having to leave the bridal salon and go back another day to try them both on again! But something about Divine just spoke to me! I think it was the neckline and how unique it is! And yes, the sugar rose caviar fabric is soooo amazing! I felt so amazing on my wedding day thanks to my dress! Hayley Paige really is a genius! You made a great choice in your dress!

Have you looked into the cost of your matching veil? My seamstress was able to take extra fabric removed during my alterations and custom make a veil to match my dress for much cheaper than a Hayley Paige veil. I just couldn’t bring myself to spend $1000 on a veil when my seamstress would make an identical one for $150.

That is not bad at all! I might have to order some extra just in case because I am obsessed with the sparkly tulle! I wanted to make sure it matched my dress, so my veil is being made by Hayley Paige as well. I had the same issue with the tiered skirt...I also tried on the Lauren gown and a few others with the sparkly tulle bottom but just loved the look of a tiered skirt. Plus it soo light and comfortable!

I honestly didn't even think of that at the time...I felt like there was soo much going on all at once and my parents were there and just went and paid for it! I'm so grateful to them but now I wish I could have saved them some money!! Also I just looked at your pictures and you look absolutely STUNNING in your dress!!! I love how unique it is too Smiley love

Whoa, that's awesome that she was able to make a custom veil just by using the extra fabric from your alterations! I'll have to see if I can have that done as well. I'm having such a hard time finding the right veil.

Yes, exactly! I tried on the Fiona gown and the Nash gown, both of which are stunning and have the sparkle tulle skirt, but I preferred how the tiered skirts felt more airy and light.

By the way, Meghan, how much fabric did it take to have your veil made? I love the sound of having a veil made from the leftover fabric, but I don't think I'd have a lot of fabric left over unless I purchased some extra.

So she used regular plain veil fabric, then added what I had cut off to make a boarder around it. I think I had to have about 5 inches cut off the end of mine. Which when you think 5 inches in length, plus the width around including train, it was a fair amount (I am 5'5" by the way).

The veil that matched my dress has appliques on it that matched the dress pattern and I did not like it. So my seamstress and I got creative.

That sounds perfect! I think I know the veil you're talking about. The one with ivory sugar rose appliques, right? It's also supposed to be the matching veil for Charm, but I wasn't a big fan of it either. That worked out really well that you were able to get a veil that still matched, but you actually liked it AND paid less for it!

Yes! That’s the veil! I just thought the appliqués were a bit much with everything else going on in my dress. I wanted something a little more simple. Plus, I didn’t want to pay too much for it. I didn’t wear a veil during my ceremony. Only for photos.
