Hawaii honeymoon

Katryna, on May 3, 2023 at 5:05 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 5

My fiance and I are planning to go on our honeymoon next march. We are unsure of the island right now, mostly leaning towards kauai or maui. Looking for any recomendations.

We went to Maui and Oahu for our honeymoon and would highly recommend Maui! Oahu was great but we loved Maui. We stayed in a VRBO in Kihei - it was a great location to get to all parts of the island. We like activity-packed vacations, so we: biked down the volcano with Bike Maui, took a snorkel tour to Molokini with Trinity, drove the road to Hana (download Shaka Guide), and went to the Old Lahaina Luau. Highly recommend all of these activities!

Did you have a good experience with VRBO. I've seen many options there but am very skeptical since i haven't booked with them before.

Yes! It's essentially Airbnb, I've used them at other locations too - the condo we chose was just like its photos/description and very clean/well maintained. They're not as glamourous as a resort, but we knew we would be out and about a lot so that didn't matter as much to us.

Highly suggest Maui! We’ve always stayed at resorts though, so I can’t speak to the VRBO experience.

I went to Maui about 3 weeks ago and absolutely loved it! We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa. If you choose Maui, I highly recommend the Hyatt's Luau, (you can even go if you don't stay at the Hyatt), sunrise tour of Haleakala, and Whaler's Village for any souvenirs. We also did whale-watching which was successful considering it was the last week of whale season. After about April 15 though, whale season ends.

You'll have a great time no matter what! Smiley smile
