Hey Abbey!! Welcome to WeddingWire!! I think the insurance question would be a great question to ask your current insurance agent or company. Even if you don't have to have any specific coverage, it might be nice to have something and ask a professional on their opinion just in case something happens. They might also be able to tell you about liquor and food liability coverage, which may or may not exist.

I would also call your county clerk's office to see if they have anything to add. Where I used to live, any outdoor event with alcohol with more than 50 people had to have a permit, even if it was on private property and the police needed to be notified in case of complaints.

No problem! You might not end up needing one, but it's always worth asking the experts!

Hey Abbey, Fellow local here. I know you're already neck-deep in planning at this point, but check your city's Coding policies as well. They should be on your city's website. And if you have any close neighbors, they should know you're having a big party, too. That way they can prepare for noise and parking.
