Hallmark Date Nights

Lisa, on December 13, 2023 at 11:25 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 4
The holiday season has got me thinking about holiday date night ideas, and figured I'd ask WeddingWire for inspiration! It's the time of year when the Hallmark channel is full of holiday-themed love stories, so let's put a Hallmark twist on date nights:

What date nights do you and your partner do this time of year that could be scenes in a Hallmark movie?

Do you go sledding 🛷 and afterwards drink hot chocolate ☕ by the fireplace? Do you go caroling 🎶 in your community? Do you attend a Christmas tree lighting 🎄? Do you build a snowman⛄ together or have a snowball fight? Dress up as Santa and Mrs. Clause 🎅 🤶 and hand out gifts 🎁?

Let's hear about your Hallmark holiday date night ideas!

All those sound so lovely. I would like to get a projector and screen and have like a movie date night in the backyard at least once or twice a month and not just for the holidays but to make it a monthly thing. Because we both work hard and we work at the same place and we could use some relaxing us time and not just work related stuff. Thanks for the idea.

I love Hallmark movies, but I guess our twist is that my husband and I stay in the city and keep our jobs. The past couple years, we've wanted to see a show to celebrate the holiday season. One year it was Home Alone with the city orchestra, another was SpiderMan in theatres. This year, i wanted to see a rare Spanish-language opera at the Met. It was lovely! I asked my husband to spin me in Lincoln Center ala SJP (no fainting). What Hallmark won't show is my ugly platform boots needed to walk through the city, NYC gridlock days, the $26/glass champagne, and the bags currently under my eyes as I brave a busy workday finding the energy for tonight's corporate party.

Wellllll .... we try to do a short getaway every year! This year we took the ferry from Ft. Myers to Key West. It would have made a great Hallmark Horror Story. ROFLMAO Not only did it rain the entire 3 days, there was a tropical storm brewing causing dangerous sea conditions - I was so worried the ferry wouldn't run on Saturday to bring us back!!! Despite it all we DID have fun and will return again in June to see the places we missed due to weather.
