I have 3C/4A hair (I'm mixed Latina/Black), and I've never had a good experience with wedding hair stylists.
I'm getting married in the DR in April and we're doing a low-key, backyard celebration with a handful of loved ones. I'm wearing a flower crown, and would like to keep my hair natural without any straightening, extensinos, etc. I'd also prefer to do my own hair and/or have an idea (or photo) before showing a stylist there.
None of the stylists I've found thus far seem to have examples of natural hair, especially with my hair type so I'm looking for ideas.
I live in Brooklyn, but am willing to travel.
Any suggestions?
