That whole area is pretty rural/isolated and geared toward servicing the recreation in the area. I would be really surprised if you found truly local hair and make up artists. You might have to expand your search area (and budget) and be willing to pay for travel fees. Or work on learning to do your own hair and/or makeup.

Search names in St. George, UT. It’s the closest metro area you’ll find and many of the hair and make up artists from there will likely be used to traveling a bit for a really good shot. Also it’s southern Utah, it takes an hour to get anywhere anyway.

That is great. I'm not saying it's easy, but you have plenty of time to practice, and it might end up being less stressful than trying to coordinate unknown vendors in a tricky location. Good luck!

Not Zion, but I planned an "elopement" (mini-mony, microwedding, etc) in Yosemite, which is similar in its rural-ness. All of the HMUA that I found would have had to travel to the location, which meant paying for accommodations for a night. I reached out to probably 5-6 different HMUA (both local to me in So Cal and closer to Yosemite) and all of them gave quotes for about $1000 (which included accommodations and our early start time). Just mentioning this so that you are prepared for high quotes if you're reaching out to vendors in nearby metropolitan locations.

I did my own for a wedding there, but everyone else went to a day spa, Flynn's or Flannigan's right on the park entry road from Springdale. I don't know if anyone comes to you from there. The address will be something like Zion road or Park road, Springdale. this was 2017.

I did not go in to Springdale, but hubby says there is a Marriot and a Comfort in and another chain, on the same mile stretch in Springdale. If you call and mention you are not ready to book guests until you are sure of services in the area, they likely have a list of locals.
