We recently decided to postpone our wedding until next summer due to COVID-19. After two times of planning everything and struggling, we decided we'd look into the beach wedding we've always wanted for our third time of planning. (We have a whole year now, why not?) We got engaged in Orange Beach, Alabama. We love the beaches in that area. Does anyone have experience with weddings in Gulf Shores? I noticed that there are wedding packages available along with a few venues. I'm trying to figure out what is the most affordable option. Use a wedding package for the ceremony on the beach and have a reception somewhere else? Use a venue that accommodates a ceremony and a reception? We'd appreciate any advice as we explore our options!

I don’t have experience in that area, but we opted for a resort in the keys and our ceremony and reception on site (all we had to do was find baker for cake, photographer and officiant) it was much more economical than some of the other resorts that offered full service, I’d definitely price check and if feasible go visit in person to get the vibe.

The Postcard Inn -

They have 4 properties known as Holiday Isles
- Postcard Inn- Amara Cay- Pelican Cove (this property is right next door and was our 2nd choice of the 4)- La Siesta

I should also mention this is at Islamorada (upper keys) and on the Atlantic side as we’re having a Sunrise Wedding
