Guest limit

Do you mean limiting your guest count? Only invite as many people as you can afford to host. Factor in all costs when determining this amount: invitations, postage, appetizers, dinner, drinks, desserts, and favors all typically have costs per person. Don't invite more than you can afford, just in case everyone RSVPs as attending. Make an initial list of everyone who you're planning on inviting and do the math to figure out how much it will cost to host all of those people. If that cost is over your budget, consider removing those who you haven't talked to in a long time or aren't as close with, parents' friends who you might not have met or don't really know, plus ones for single guests (significant others do not count as plus ones, as they should automatically be invited with their partner), or children (if children make up a large part of your guest count). If you've already sent Save The Dates or invitations to those people, you should not rescind the invitation. If you haven't sent Save The Dates or invitations yet, then the guest list can still be modified to help keep you within budget.

When you make your guest list, start with a dot -- that is you and FH. Then draw a circle around that dot, and place names of the people that are in your "close circle", such as family

Draw circle number 2 - this is for your close friends, maybe extended family such as cousins

Draw circle number 3 - this is the people you are friendly with - neighbors, co-workers, old school pals.

Do the math and see if the numbers in circles 1 and 2 are within your budget. If you're good and still have budget money, you can select from circle 3. Remember, people who "like" your FaceBook posts are not necessarily a good friend (LOLOL)
