Guest Book "wishes"

I come looking to you all for help and advice with my alternative guest book idea!

I have these notes (below) that I'd like to have available in case people want to leave us any congratulatory words at our reception in place of a guest book.

Additionally, we have this random decorative genie-like lamp (similar to photo below)... Our decor is gold and jewel tones so I think it would fit in with our style. Would it be fun or cheesy to ask people to put their wishes in the genie lamp??

If you like the idea, how would you word the instructional sign?

    I think it is cute but would there be enough room in the genie lamp for everyone to leave their wishes? If so, then the sign posted in your pic would work but have your wedding party and VIPs do it before anyone else and leave the top of the lamp off so the other guests see what you want them to do.

    I think it’s a cute idea! We’re doing something similar with a wishing well! As mentioned, I would worry about if there’s enough space for everyone to put their notes in the lamp. Maybe test it out first to see how much it can hold or have a backup jar for when it gets full.

    As an absolute huge Disney fan (I have an annual pass) I think it is genius and Robin Williams is probably smiling from heaven right now!

    I didn't even think about just using the sign that came with the cards Smiley xd I'll have to make sure they fit in the lamp. Great suggestion to have VIPs get things started for guests to follow suit.

    Great idea to have a backup jar - I'm not quite sure how many notes would fit so I'll have to do a test run before we decide.

    I LOVE the wishing well idea! That's actually something we were thinking about too! Did you make your own, or did you buy a kit of some kind?
