Groomsmen gift packaging

klimberkat, on August 5, 2016 at 8:25 AM Posted in Planning 0 15

For my girls, I got them cute reusable shopping bags to hold all their gifts since they can use them, and they were about the same price as a big gift bag. I'm stumped for the guys! Their gifts are smaller (silicone pint glass, custom bottle opener, fun socks, and a six pack of their favorite beer.) I'd like to package it all in something that won't get thrown away, but I'm totally stuck!

I suggested coolers to FH, but he was in a wedding recently that did that and he doesn't want to copy. I need 5, and can spend $5-$8 each.

How did you package the gifts for the guys?

Use a wooden milk/beer crate, or a small metal bucket.

Guys don't really care what things are packaged in.

We got them weekender bags on theknotshop.com and put everything in there. Plus they loved the duffel bags.

Lol I know they don't care, I just figured, if I'm spending a few bucks on a bag, there's got to be something more useful I could use instead. :-)

I'm the type of person who reuses gift bags and boxes so I hate wasting money on things that'll get thrown away. If I have to, I'll run to the dollar store and get gift bags. Not the end of the world, figured it was worth asking for input on though.

Some cigar shops sell the boxes for very cheap, could you take the beer out of the pack and use tissue paper to line a box like that and put everything in it since they come with lids? Just a thought! Also, if you have a Target nearby, I got round metal tubs for under $5 I didn't end up using, in the dollar area up front they might have something! Worse case scenerio dollar store storage bin and line it with fun paper, bow, etc?

Ours is super small for the guys and girls actually. My plan is to get maybe small tins/boxes from the dollar store (or something like it) and wrapping it as a manly but small package. That sounds weird. I hope you know what I mean! Even for my ladies, I'm not doing an over the top large gift. I'll try to get boxes of a similar size but maybe a tad prettier and more feminine.

That's a really considerate way to give gifts! If you're thinking about what to get for the guys, you might want to check out personalized canvas bags. They're handy because they can be used over and over, and you can customize them with their initials or a cool design. They're not just for wrapping gifts either; they can be used for lots of things, which adds a nice personal touch to their presents.
