Green and White Wedding - Bridesmaids?!?

Kalliope, on June 30, 2019 at 6:43 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 17

So... I'm doing a July wedding in my family's backyard, surrounded by cedar/pine/oak trees. Our colors are mostly green and white (i want it to look natural and earthy) with a splash of purple. What color dresses should i do for my bridesmaids???? I am leaning away from purple because I want that as an accent, not the focus. I haven't found a green I love yet, and I'm also thinking about grays/browns/neutrals. I'm just not finding the right answer. Help!

I did emerald green dresses. Green was our main color, pretty happy with the results.

I'm definitely interested in something like this if I don't find a green I love!

I think sage would also be lovely or a more tan beige neutral color

I would be worried the green would blend in too much with the trees and grass. I would do more of a neutral color.

Oooh, I have the same color scheme! I'm going to do both a dark and light green, white/ivory/cream, gold, with a few pops of lavender. I'm probably either going to do like a dusty sage or dark green for the bridesmaid dresses. I like the idea of the gray/brown/neutral dresses too, just be careful not to get them too close to the color of your dress (unless that doesn't bother you). For the pops of purple, I'm going to have both my mom and his mom wear light purple, that way it doesn't overpower the other colors. Good luck on your wedding, it already sounds beautiful!

My cousin just got married in a similar setting to what you described and she used the taupe color from azazie. It looked gorgeous in such a natural setting.

My mom is definitely wearing wisteria/lavender - she’s super nervous about a neural tone dress hahahaha! I’ll probs do the same for his momma.

Honestly, for contrast - don’t pick a green that would blend into the greenery. Think how camouflage works. Pick a lighter green that is different that typical foliage. Or pick a very light purple, like lilac that would not blend into green.

I like browsing the Azazie site for colors.

My plan is to go with a “dusty sage” is the color from David’s bridal. It’s very pretty and won’t blend in too much because we have a lot of white too. The barn is white, the arbor is white, the chairs are dark colors, the tablecloths are white. So we are sticking with the theme and doing “dusty sage” most websites I’ve looked at have a similar color!

Nope! This is the hardest decision of the whole thing yet lol, I am seriously leaning toward a muted green or taupe though.

Either would be beautiful and totally go with your theme!
