Good time for evening Ceremony???

My wedding is in the summer time and although I can’t wait, I’m not sure what time to put on the invitations. I don’t want to start too early but I also don’t want to start too late in the evening.

I was think ceremony start at 4pm and reception starts at 6-6:30? What do you think???

This will depend on how long your ceremony will be, and the travel time (if any) between ceremony and reception venues. You will not want to have a gap between the ceremony and cocktail hour. Guests should be able to go straight to cocktail hour after your ceremony, followed immediately by the reception.

I had a summer wedding. We had the ceremony at 5pm, cocktail hour 5:30-6:30, and reception 6:30-10.

Our wedding is also in the summer and our time is set for 6:00 in the evening.

Our ceremony started at 5:30. Then we had cocktail hour from 6:00-7:00 and our reception followed from 7:00-10:30.

My future sister in law also had her ceremony at 5:30 (July wedding). Mine is this month so we are having it at 4:30!

Our ceremony starts at 430, cocktail hour 5-6 and reception 6-11pm! 😊
