Fun Add-ons?

JA, on February 11, 2022 at 1:56 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 1 9

Looking for some inspo for fun activities to have at the wedding! We want to do a bounce house/Inflatable boxing/Inflatable jousting, but our venue is very hesitant about those ideas. Looking for something equally fun/funny to have!

As a note: We can't do anything food related. We have a 360 video booth as well.

Help!!

My FH tried to convince me to have a mechanical bull LOL. But I don't think your venue would like that any better than a bounce house.
How about yard games like cornhole, horseshoes, ladder toss? There's a small company here that rents them out. Or you could try to borrow from friends.

We did consider this. But we dont love that it doesnt involve everyone/the pictures wouldn't be as fun. Our thought with the inflatables (specifically boxing/jousting) is that others will gather to watch and cheer people on! Also it would be hilarious for pictures considering everyone will be in black tie haha

I think the main reason your venue is hesitant on a lot of those ideas is because of liability and insurance!

A lot of people are buying glow in the dark and light up props for guests to wear on the dance floor! The photos always turn out so cool! I also like Candace's suggestion about yard games! Cornhole, giant Jenga, and other games are great for guests to relax and play!

Oh I love that idea to get everyone involved! Hmm what are the issues the venue has with that idea?

A lot of venues (at least in my area), are requiring couples to purchase wedding insurance. I think it's more about keeping guests safe and avoiding any damage done to the venue itself, rather than just disliking the idea.

We are doing Karoke! No doubt the drunk version as it will get interesting as people keep drinking!

Can you get wedding insurance? That would probably make the venue feel more comfortable. Most policies have liability insurance for guests.
