Frustrated Where i Just Wanna Give Up!

90Bkeen, on May 20, 2023 at 10:15 AM Posted in Maryland Planning 0 1
I literally am about ready to throw the towel in. I am back to planning my wedding that originally was going to happen back in 2018 but because life happens I couldn’t do it then. Now here we are 2023 still trying to make it happen and I’m at a dead end. We can’t afford much because we both work full-time and we have two children together who, of course comes first. Every time we think we have money saved or a stashed away something happens so now we are just trying to plan what ever we can to the closest thing to what we want.

With that said, I can’t find anywhere that we can have our 25 to 30 people size wedding at an affordable amount. I reached out to the tea room, which unfortunately is booked. I’ve reached out to various places that offer micro wedding choices and they are still just too far out of budget. I know the courthouse is always an option and I’ve even said that we can just go ahead and do it at this point because I am not fed up. My fiancé knows though that I want so he keeps telling me no we’re not doing that. We have no help from either side of the family even to the point where I pretty much no one from our families are coming. My maid of honor is stressing me out and my bridesmaids aren’t much help either. At this point, I just don’t know what to do for a venue and I really just want to quit.
Is there any chance that anyone knows of anything or anyone willing to rent out their place or know of a rustic farm/cottage/cabin? SOMETHING? I have looked into airbnb and vrbo and they want to charge an event fee which is around **** on top of renting the place.
Thank you all for taking the time to read my rant. 🫤

Do you have or know anyone that has a nice size backyard that will let you borrow for your wedding ? Or maybe check out your local parks. They are usually not that expensive I wouldn't think anyway. Where are you located ? If there is a nice park you like you may be able to talk to someone at the courthouse the city to see about having it at the park. Best of luck.
