From Miss now to Mrs. Name changing services

I personally find all of these services to be a waste of money. Their website advertises that it saves you 13 hours of time to change your name. It took me...maybe 2 hours to make all of the necessary changes? They essentially send you federal and state name change forms, that are available online for free, while charging you $40-$100 to auto fill your name and address. You still have to go get your own license, they can't do that for you. You also have to mail your social security card in (hard pass for me) or visit the office yourself, they also can't do that. I suppose if you have the budget to pay someone to type in your name and address, go for it, but I can think of better ways to spend $100.

I agree with Caytlyn. I found the name change process to be pretty quick and painless. Once you get the certified copy of your marriage license, going to the social security office and waiting for your new card, and going to DMV for a new ID is the hardest part. Everything else can be done online.

Even if it did save you time, how much personal information are you giving them? I would be slightly concerned that if their system ever got hacked someone would have access to EVERYTHING. Just be careful!

All they do is charge you to mail you all the forms you can get for free online. Don't waste your money. You still have to go place to place and do all the work to have everything changed.
