Girl, we are date twins! This date does not have any special meaning for my FI and I but it was between this date and 11/20 and I kind of liked the fact that it was Friday the 13th. I am not superstitious at all or even into horror films lol but it just seemed kind of cool to me so I wouldn't worry about what other people think!

Personally I think Friday the 13th is a fun wedding date because it's memorable.

Don't stress - it's just a superstition, and some cultures believe the opposite - that 13 is a lucky number.

My fiance wouldn't even get married on Saturday the 13th hahahaha! For me, it didn't matter at all. It really just depends on the person.

We almost had a Friday the 13th wedding as well as we wanted Friday and assumed that would be the only day available. We would have taken it either way. Our venue said they had one Friday left in September and it was the 20th. I said at the time I was surprised it wasn’t the 13th and she said those are actually usually booked first, which was interesting. If you aren’t superstitious keep the date. It will only be a Friday every few years.

I actually love the idea of getting married on a friday the 13th! Ignore those who look at you weird... All that matters is that you and your FH are getting married and that you're happy!

Honestly, they need to get over it because at the end of the day, it's just a date like any other!

We have a relative who was married on Friday, October 13, a couple years ago. She planned her wedding in 6 months, and the date at a prime venue was probably only available because it was "Friday the 13th." She decided that made it a pretty "lucky" day for her! Agree that unless you are typically very superstitious it shouldn't mean a thing. Good luck! (But, watch out for black cats, walking under ladders, or broken mirrors! )

My sister was married on Friday the 13th and they are happily going on 13 years and have 2 kids.

From now on it will be a lucky number for you, since that's your wedding date!!

Awww this is so cute the way it lines up with your birthdays! I love it! I think you should go for it and not worry about what other people think! It’s just a silly superstition anyway. 😄 I think it’s too cute to pass up on and it will always be a super amazing, special week for the two of you for years and years to come. FH and I decided on October for our wedding, because Autumn is our favorite season and his birthday is in November (the 12th also! 😊) and mine is December 17th, so those last three months of the year will always be the most exciting for us now!

I definitely don't think it's bad luck hahah. I think it's kinda neat that you're adding some good luck of your own into an allegedly "bad luck" day! Those superstitions are so silly...... i.e. that black cats are bad luck too.... I have a black cat and he is the sweetest most loving creature in the world, he's been nothing but a blessing for me and I feel very lucky to have him It'll be your lucky day because it's the day you get married!

We met on Friday, June 13th, 2008. We are getting married on Saturday, June 13th, 2020. We really wanted a Friday but it didn't work out. It's a super lucky date for us!
