Free or low cost makeup?

Aida, on August 6, 2019 at 12:20 AM Posted in Utah Planning 0 8

Hey guys. Have any of you tried getting your makeup done from Macy's makeup counters? Is any of it free to try? I only want to use these services for my engagement pics. For my actual wedding, I'm using a real artist. I want my makeup not to look so underwhelming for my pics. Any help is welcome. Thanks guys.

    Hey there Aida!

I’m not sure about Macy’s counters, however, other makeup/brand counters I’ve been to, they typically do you makeup in return for buying products (maybe $4- 0 $50 worth).

I find visiting counters a really cost-effective way of having my makeup done for different events. I would definitely recommend you pop into a Macy’s store and figure out how much it will be and whether or not you need to book in advance!

I've never done it, but my niece has gone to Sephora before attending a wedding. They did a great job.

Another option is to go to a Hair school near you. Most of them are actually really good. If you live in Salt Lake, call Paul Mitchell in Holladay and schedule an appointment with Victoria Madrid. She is doing my wedding day makeup and most likely my engagements. I attached some of her work.

You look amazing!! Is she coming out to do your makeup at the venue or are you doing them in studio?

Back in the day, I had MAC do my makeup for prom and spent $50 on products. So it was kind of a win-win! Smiley smile
But I have heard beauty schools are a good option! Good luck!
