Cocktail hour: antipasto, caprese tomato & mozzarella kabobs, mini egg rolls, grilled chicken kabobs, shrimp cocktail

Salads: Caesar & their special salad (I think it’s romaine & spinach with roasted pine nuts and balsamic)
Entrees: chicken Marsala, sausage & peppers, German kielbasa, stuffed flounder, baked ziti
Sides: mashed potatoes & gravy, broccoli, string beans almondine
Dessert: fresh fruit tray, cookies, brownies, & cannolis (outside of wedding cake)
I’m so damn stoked 😁 he came to our house with massive food trays and had dinner with us. The food was soooooo good and we loved the caterer much I signed him on the spot.

Yes!! I have been drooling over our menu since it was decided! We are going to do a buffet with Herb fried chicken with Au Jus Gravy, Mesquite smoked Charlton Farms Brisket. Sides: 4 Cheese (Mozzarella, Tillamook Cheddar, Parmesean and Swiss) Macaroni and Cheese, Crispy brussel sprouts with Lemon Aioli, Roasted green beans with hazelnut crumbles, and garlic mashed potatoes! Local mixed green salad with pear, blue cheese, candied cranberries and balsamic dressing. Corn Bread and Sour dough rolls. I cannot wait I'm drooling as I'm typing this out!

We already got married and our guests really liked our food. We had a buffet/stationary style wedding. During cocktail hour, we had three passed apps and signature drink. Once the ballroom opened we also had a candy bar with a variety of candy that was opened during the entire reception.

Passed apps: 1. tomato, basil, Parmesan, grilled cheese points, 2. sesame chicken bites with sweet mango mustard, and 3. fried ravioli with marinara (this was an item specially made for our wedding as it was something I asked if they could do)

Signature Drink: Red sangria. We have two friends that are bartenders so they helped my husband decided on the drink. I don't drink so I didn't really care what our drink was. My husband gave our friends a list of what alcohols are venue would have and they put together multiple different options and my husband decided he liked the sangria best so they wrote down what they used and we gave that to our venue so they could make the sangria just like our friends did.

Prior to the buffet/stations opening we had a salad course that was served. We choose to have Caesar salad.

The buffet/stations included carved prime rib, carved turkey, roasted veggies, a pasta station with penne, tortellini, and gluten free pasta served with either Alfredo or vodka sauce, and mashed potatoes.

Dessert: Wedding cake which was vanilla with vanilla icing. I don't like chocolate and my husband's favorite flavor was strawberry, but I'm allergic to strawberries. We didn't really like the other options.

    Late night snack: nacho bar

We are doing a buffet—includes salad, bread + butter, fried catfish with creamy dill sauce and a black eyed pea succotash (bacon, black eyed peas and corn), a linguine with bell peppers & onions in a spicy cream sauce and blackened chicken, mashed potatoes and brown butter green beans as additional side items.

Dessert bar: wedding cake (white cake, raspberry filling, cream cheese icing), miniature cheesecakes, miniature key lime pie, miniature chocolate ganache cakes
Still haven’t decided on apps for cocktail hour but probably something pretty simple like some artisanal cheeses + dips!

How was having stations? We decided against it because I was being skeptical about people just walking all over the place trying to find food :/ But your menu looks so yummy! We are also having a pasta dish!

Yay to dessert bars! My mom insisted and I'm really glad she did! It helped cut down our cake cost. Thank you Jesus. It is also a plus for those who need sweets right after their meal and can't wait for the cake to be cut!! My aunt who used to say "I need to wash my mouth out with something sweet..." LOL

Girl, that was my favorite part about wedding planning. I got there early and left late. Lets just say I ate twice! SOOOO good! Enjoy it and savor everything!

Our stations were mostly in one location so it wasn't a lot of people walking around to different places.

Oh okay, that makes sense. When I thought of stations I legit went to my teaching mind and placed food spots around the room and freaked out a little bit. Good to know.

I'll preach this until the cows come home, go with whatever your venue specializes in. We had our wedding at a casino, so we had an endless seafood buffet. Everyone raved about it. I personally don't eat seafood, but I added a charcuterie set up and cheesecake for myself. Trust me, you're going to be in spanx and a white dress, food wont be your focus on the day of. It's all about your guests. Food Dreaming 1
