The flower petals are lavender, purple and white.

Those should be perfect. That is a great gift. I presume those are artificial petals. That would seem great for any venue, even ones that don't allow real flower petals.

Yes, they are artificial. We can’t use real at the venue, but they are very nice and the colors match and will reflect our wedding theme.
