Florida Honeymoon?

I haven't had a honeymoon yet and mine won't be in Florida but we love to vacation there. Are you thing or any place specifically?

We were originally looking at the Keys, but with the damage from Irma, we were advised to look elsewhere. So, now we find a beautiful hotel in Naples.

Destin, St. Augustine, Sarasota, or Sanibel or Captiva Islands are all awesome places for a honeymoon in FL

Hands down, Destin.

Clearwater Beach or Siesta Key are my favorite beaches for amazing sand. Lido Key is also wonderful. Clearwater Beach gets a bit busy, but there are a lot of beaches just south or north of it that are less busy and still great. Indian Rocks Beach near Clearwater is the one I usually go to and IRB is a cute ocean town with lots of local shops and restaurants.

DESTIN! We leave in a week and I am so excited! It's my home away from home! The best beaches and the most beautiful water out side of the Caribbean!

We have taken vacations in the middle keys. Hawks Cay Resort is nice and it is in Duck Key which is right in the middle, about an hour-ish drive to Key West. Two of my favorite restaurants are right around there (Island Grill & the wreck).

St. Augustine is a cute town about 30 minutes south of Jacksonville. They have lots of tourist stuff to check out and their own winery. They have a beach area at a state park (Anastasia) which is also nice. During the summer they will have movie nights there sometimes.

I live in Jacksonville and St. Augustine is beautiful. I would definitely recommend it. Lots of stuff to do out there and it's super fun.

Anna Maria Island is a beautiful quiet old Florida beach

Sanibel island on the west coast or st Augustine on the east. We lived in SoFlo and sanibel was beautiful and so relaxing for our weekend getaways.

Clearwater Beach is gorgeous! We're splitting time between there and Orlando for our honeymoon.

Where would you recommend a new couple stays in Sanibel Island?

I have been to the east coast and west coast Florida and east coast has beautiful waters! I lived in Jacksonville beach, st.Augustine is stunning!!! I lived in Clearwater, it’s pretty but super busy and I don’t think the water is as beautiful as the other side but that’s just me!
