Fireworks Photos?

Aly, on February 17, 2024 at 11:40 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 3
My uncle surprised us a week out with offering to do a professional firework shoot at our wedding. We’re having the wedding on our property outside of city limits so we are able to have them.
Our photographer is only booked until 8. So I’m wondering if it’s worth breaking up the party or paying photographer for more time for fireworks photos or if we should just keep them at the end of the night and forgo professional photos?

    That sounds exciting.

It would help to see if the photographer has experience with fireworks. Maybe just mention you are doing fireworks but was not planning on having a photographer at that point (and see if that photographer wants to stay around anyhow haha). I don't think the photos of the fireworks will be as sentimental and unique as the ceremony and reception and thus not as important to capture in professional photos.

I guess it depends on your goal. Are you wanting photos with you and your fiancé with the fireworks in the background or would you want just photos of the fireworks. If you want them of you and your fiancé with the fireworks then I'd add time to your contract with the photographer so they can be there to take the photos.

I’d just do the fireworks at the end of the night without a photographer. They’re an experience that will be amazing at the time, but I don’t think photos will be as amazing.
