Favorite readings about love?

We had two readings. One was “The Art of Marriage” by Wilferd Peterson with nice advice about being married and being a real partner.


The other was “How falling in love is like owning a dog” by Taylor Mali. It’s funny and very us, especially since we both talked about our dog in our vows. 😆 It’s things like love needs to be fed so it can grow, love needs exercise, and sometimes you just want to thwap love on the nose with a rolled up newspaper.
I think the best readings are ones that really resonate with you as a couple, not necessarily traditional wedding readings. I’ve known people who read from children’s books, a favorite poem, or song lyrics. I did a ton of googling and reading a bunch of stuff until I found things that just felt like “us.”
