Favorite Part of Being Married

I'd have to say for me that it's just the undeniable and complete sense of HOME. We lived together for only a couple months before getting married. But now that we're married, our apartment is no longer the Monroe and Curren residence - it's the Monroe Home. And the way our pastor phrased it in the ceremony was just perfect....

"So I asked Melody and John individually when they knew they wanted to go from renting to buying, and they both said pretty much the same thing. It's a thing I've only ever heard couples who know they've found something special say. They said that spending time and talking with each other on that very first date just felt like home - like they could be completely themselves without fear of judgement or ridicule or embarrassment."

I still love saying "husband", and being referred to as "wife". It's just... so much more Official than 'boyfriend/girlfriend'.

I would say it's that we're expecting a baby in September, but you can do that without being married... but it is nice to know we don't have to jump through legal hoops about all that when the time comes.

Necking on the couch ! We have 5 kids, and sometime in the last 3 weeks we started a run of every one in bed 9 pm at latest, going to bed and going to sleep and staying there. It took 3-4 evenings to realize how early we were sitting by the fire, just the ,2 of us. And after getting up at 5 for me to work for weeks, suddenly no need to be up til 9 for either of us. 9 to 9 our own home is ours, at least 4 nights a week.

I asked my husband this question out of the blue.

His response came without any hesitation: "how am I supposed to pick just one?"

So I'd say that's my favorite part of being married: even my husband can't pick just one favorite part.

I agree with this. I just love being "husband and wife" so much!
